We study the efficiency of growth and inflation forecasts published by three leading German economic research institutes during a period time ranging from 1970 to 2017. To this end, we examine whether information used when they formed their helps explain ex-post realized forecast errors. identify that set up quantitative applying computational-linguistics techniques decompose business-cycle reports into various topics.
